# LinkSquares Receives ISO 27001 Certification

But what does that mean for us as an organization — and for you as our customer? Here are some answers.
## What is ISO 27001?
[ISO 27001](https://www.iso.org/standard/27001) is the gold standard in information security. It's a globally recognized compliance standard that sets requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS), which encompasses people, processes, and technology.
Achieving ISO 27001 certification proves our commitment to maintaining an ongoing, systematic approach to managing and protecting company and customer data. This certification underscores the robustness of our ISMS. It also ensures that we proactively identify, evaluate, and effectively manage the risks to our information assets.
